The client wanted the upper tray to automatically lift as the lid was opened, creating an engaging display effect while maintaining smooth movement and reliable performance through repeated use.
The irregular lid profile needed to integrate seamlessly with the lift-up mechanism while maintaining excellent rigidity. Balancing structural integrity with high-volume production required careful reinforcement and internal engineering.
The decorative illustration spans the lid, front panel, and lift-up tray, requiring three independent components to align perfectly after assembly. Controlling cumulative production tolerances was essential to preserve the appearance of a continuous illustration.
